--- and a raisin pie. I worked in the corporate world for more than 30 years before I felt moved to seek a new adventure that I could really love.
On July 8, 2015, I stopped by Ol Dutchman's Bakery to pick up a raisin pie for my mom's birthday and by the next week, I owned The Bakery. Just like that, my journey began by the grace of God.
Since then, my husband, Matt, and I have been busy making renovations to the building and the menu but one thing remains the same, the classic Amish recipes The Bakery is known for are still homemade daily. Plus, we have added a lot of new items thanks to our friends and family who have so graciuosly passed along their recipes.
We couldn't have come this far without my mom, Phyllis, and my mother-in-law, Geneva, who have been a tremendous help sharing recipes, tips and contributing their time at the bakery along with so many other family members and friends.
We could not be successful without our amazing customers! We are incredibly blessed to have this opportunity and so thankful for everyone who is a part of making this dream a reality.
The Glory to God, Melissa
